The shop and the apartment house have always been a place of encounter and a meeting point for various generations. No matter where people came from, there was laughter, food, and celebration.
Since 2020, son Jürgen, with the support of his sister Christina, has been managing the apartments. Having grown up amidst the Lungau mountain world, he has always been drawn to the city and the larger world. However, the Lungau is his home, a place to pause, a place to experience a unique freedom in untouched nature, a place where one can completely retreat and find oneself. Away from the mainstream and mass tourism. The Hoamat House aims to connect this "Hoamat feeling" with urban design and to be a home for everyone seeking their very personal experience amidst nature. A meeting point for all nature lovers and sports enthusiasts.

How everything began.
In 1983, Gudrun and Jürgen Oberkofler fulfilled their dream of owning a grocery store and apartment house. For over 37 years, Gudrun passionately and energetically managed the grocery store. She is the soul of the Hoamat House and does everything to ensure that her guests feel completely comfortable. In the summer of 2020, Gudrun handed over the grocery store to powerhouse Petra, who continues to run the grocery store with the same passion.
